FirstOn connects residents with private security companies and their officers. FirstOn is a platform: the response itself is provided by the security company. FirstOn is not the police or an emergency service and does not replace them. In immediate danger, call 10111 or 112.
Response depends on officers being on duty and in range, on mobile signal and GPS, and on the security company. We work to send help as quickly as possible but cannot promise that an officer will be available or arrive within a set time.
Keep your password private. You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
When you press SOS, your name, number and live location are shared with the responding security company and officer. See our Privacy Policy.
To the extent the law allows, FirstOn is not liable for loss or harm caused by delay, failure or unavailability of a response, by network or GPS failure, or by the acts of a security company or officer. Nothing here limits rights you have under South African consumer law.
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app about significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
